AirPlan - Usage
The AirPlan3 system is a very flexible solution and as such is currently in use in a wide range of uses and organisations.
This section is designed to give you an indication as to the types of organisation where our system is currently deployed.
Airlines
AirPlan3 is currently widely used in the following types of airline;
- Pure and Mixed Fleet environments
- Fleet size of 2 - 200 aircraft
- Scheduled Airlines
- Charter Airlines
- Low Cost Airlines
- Cargo Airlines
- Passenger Airlines
- Regional Airlines
- Domestic Airlines
- Longhaul Airlines
International Trip Planning
AirPlan3 is regarded as the flight planning system of choice for businesses providing International Trip Planning (ITP) services to their clients.
As a result of significant input by our sister company BaseOps International, based in Houston, Texas, the AirPlan3 system builds upon its airline heritage to competently support a whole range of corporate aircraft. Combine this capability with our unlimitted flight plans pricing models and it is easy to see why AirPlan3 is so popular with the ITP community.
Training Schools
Due, primarily to its intuitive and easy to use interface, AirPlan3 is very popular with aviation training schools.
We offer special pricing models to customers who use our systems in a training environment - this reflects the fact that this type of usage is significantly different to that of a customer using our system to plan real commercial flights.
We have worked with several training schools and are more than happy to advise on how the AirPlan3 system can significantly improve the activity of training people in the use of flight planning software and where flight planning fits in the bigger picture of an airline's operations department.
Other
Whilst the AirPlan3 is a very flexible solution and can be applied to the vast majority of operational requirements there are some situations where we would not recommend the use of AirPlan3.
This section lists these situations
- For airlines operating over 200 aircraft
- Within environments requiring more than 250 users
- For operators of single aircraft
- Where web browser based connectivity is mandatory
However, our soon to be launched web based system SwiftOps.com is designed to overcome these limitations.
